An Old Favourite

The appellation of Vouvray lies in the Touraine department of the Loire Valley and is home to one of Frances best loved and most versatile wines. The wine itself depends greatly upon the conditions of the vintage with cooler years resulting in dry and sparkling wines. In hotter years however lusciously sweet dessert wines in the style of Sauternes are produced with some having phenomenal potential for aging.

The family run estate of Auguste Bonhomme is based on the Atlantic side of France's Loire Valley and has been in the family for five generations. The property is only small with 15 hectares under vine. This vouvray is a semi sweet expression with lots of ripe apple flavour, a smooth, rich texture and a zesty, citrus finish.
