Mitchell owner and wine-maker Andrew Mitchell is dedicated to producing top quality wines from five key varieties. The wines are produced from single vineyards within the Clare Valley and each express the characteristics of the terroir and grape variety.
In this month's case we have opted for Australia's signature red grape, Shiraz. The unique terroir of the Clare Valley contributes to the complex nose, with fragrant dark fruits, dark chocolate and cedary oak. The palate consists of firm dark fruit flavours supported by well balanced oak and soft tannins. The finish is long and refined with a medium to full bodied texture.
