Renishaw Hall Madeleine Angevine is made by Kieron Atkinson, founder of the English Wine Project, who left the British Army in 2010 after nine years of active service to start a new career in English wine. He completed the only UK wine production course at Plumpton College in Sussex and became Technical Advisor for the UK branch of the Rothschilds. In June 2011 Kieron took over the historic vineyards of Renishaw Hall in Derbyshire and started to produce the wine in this month's case from the Madeline Angevine grape variety.
This wine is nicely balanced and refreshing with notes of English summer fruit. A UKVA award winner two years in a row with more awards sure to follow.
