We are always looking far and wide in order to bring you great new exciting wines in each case but this time our search took us to previously uncovered territories in Uruguay. Here we have found amazing red and white wines being made from a number of both new and familiar grape varieties and we are very excited to hear what you think.
We have also taken the decision to stock some of the wines of one of the most highly regarded family producers in Italy, Costello Banfi and it is our pleasure to share a pair of wines from this prestigious estate with you.
We finish off the case with a pair of wines which have been staples of the Weavers range for some time but that I was recently reminded of when holding a tasting with the staff in the cellars at our Castle Gate shop. The Chateau Mathiot from Bordeaux and the Wide River Chenin Blanc from South Africa both stood out due to their excellent expressive fruit characters and reminded me of what a pleasure it can be to rediscover old favourites.
As ever I really hope that you enjoy the wines in this month's case and would welcome any feedback, good or bad, that you might have.
