Exciting New Wines from Uruguay

The winery has been run by the same family since 1947. In 1995, Pablo Fallabrino took charge as head winemaker and imported state of the art winery equipment from Italy and is now producing a range of unique wines.

VINEDO DE LOS VIENTOS ESTIVAL

We have decided to include the 60% Gewurztraminer, 30% Chardonnay & 10% Moscato Bianco blend in this month's case as it shows exceptional vibrancy and clarity of fruit character whilst remaining balanced on the palate. On the nose there are aromas of tart passion fruit, pineapple skins and some floral notes which give way to citrus fruits on the palate. Versatile and delicious.

VINEDO DE LOS VIENTOS NOTOS NEBBIOLO

The red in this month's case is 90% Nebbiolo (the grape used to make Barolo) and 10% Tannat. This wine spends 6 months aging in old oak barrels and exhibits red cherry aromas, clean floral notes, dried rose petals and a warming spice on the nose. The wine is medium bodied with cherry and raspberry fruit, some spice and well-structured tannins
