Aligoté

Often referred to at Burgundy's 'other' grape, second to Chardonnay but no less capable. The vine itself is an enthusiatic grower but its yields vary widely according to site location. In the right soil and on a favourable site, it produces lively dry white wines. Bouzeron produces some of the best examples with its own appelation; Bourgogne Aligote-Bouzeron.
