HMRC deems checks to be risk based, however we appreciate that for many of our customers it is impossible to risk assess all their suppliers with this in mind the following information is provided to help you meet your due diligence obligations.

Company Structure

Weavers of Nottingham is a limited company and is registered and incorporated through Companies House in the UK. The details of our current board of directors, our registered address and annual accounts are verifiable through their online service. It is a subsuidary company of Vintner Holdings Limited.

Weavers of Nottingham Supply Chain

Weavers of Nottingham only source products from reputable businesses. We do import some of our products through directly from both EU and non-EU countries. Upon arrival in the UK the stock is either stored under bond in our third party Excise warehouse facilities or held in our warehouse where duty has been paid.
Weavers of Nottingham Ltd accounts for Excise and Duty via our Duty Deferment Account directly with HMRC on all stock delivered to our customers. All prodcts we supply will have had its appropriate duty paid.

Evidence of Duty Payment

Weavers of Nottingham supply all our stock duty paid. We will not provide copies of W5 or W5D to our customers as evidence of duty payment as these forms contain sensitive company information which could be used for fraudulent purposes.

We will not provide evidence of duty payment to customers We will only supply this information and such evidence directly the HMRC upon their request, Once the AWRS is live, relevant invoices will also include our Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme number.

The following is a list of documents which we cannot provide to customers as in the wrong hands they present a considerable potential for fraud to be conducted against Weavers of Nottingham Ltd, our employees and the Exchequer.

Our Supplier AWRS Form

For your company to become a supplier of alcoholic goods to Weavers we will require you to complete our AWRS form. This will be emailed to you for you to complete.  We also send a copy of our AWRS form on all our purchase orders as a pdf file.
