A light gold complexion with very fine bubbles. On the nose, alluring aromas of wild strawberry and a delicate floral bouquet lead into richer notes of pastry and praline. The palate is generous yet refined, with ripe red apple and apricot notes.

The Tillington story began in 2009 when winemaking team of Cherie Spriggs (Head Winemaker) and her husband Brad Greatrix walked amongst the vineyards prior to harvest and were tasting fruit off the vine as is customary in anticipation of the formal pick. What they discovered was a parcel of Pinot Noir that was particularly exciting and expressive that even when tasted from vine demonstrated vibrant red berry fruits, depth and complexity. It was immediately apparent to them that these unique and exacting characteristics had to be harnessed and celebrated in their own right as an expression of one specific place produced only in exceptional years. Tillington offers a fascinating insight into a small production wine that Nyetimber make with a full understanding of their vines and our land.
