Made by the young winemaker at the Tate Estate, Jodie Opie, from fruit that she has sourced from a small vineyard block in the Margaret River in Western Australia, this wine truly reflects this cooler of Australian climates.

The Margaret River

Since 1965 this small corner of Western Australia has quickly become a cult capital of the wine world. Its maritime influenced climate, i.e. hot sunny days moderated by the ocean winds has made it one of Australia fastest growing wine regions. The gravelly sandy loam soil lie on a bed rock granite makes the region very similar to that of Bordeaux. I can see a future compare and contrast case selection coming...
