I make no apologies for the addition of this, another choice from South Africa in this month's selection. It was literately love a first sip when Chris, Mary and I tasted these wines and quickly opted to slot them into our range for 2014. Sourced from the Badenhordst Family Wines, these wines are made on the Kalmoesfontein farm in Swartland.
Today, the farm is owned by cousins Hein and Adi Badenhorst who together have restored the neglected cellar on the farm that was last used to make wines in the 1930s. The red is a careful blend of Shiraz, Mourvedre, Cinsault and Viognier, the white a blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and some Semilion. I will not add any more about these wines, I will let them speak for themselves!
