We've beefed up our Australian offering and I've included one of the new additions from the Barossa Valley, it's a really interesting blend.
Talking of interesting blends from Australia, it wouldn't be right to ignore the Mullet wines of Clare Valley - they really do take blending different grape varieties to a different level, but more about that later.
Argentina continues to impress with their superb Malbecs, but I thought it was time to try something a bit different. Don Baltazar represents the perfect chance to do this whilst also rediscovering an often overlooked grape variety made famous by the red wines of Bordeaux.
We're doing more tastings than ever in 2015, have a look and see if any take your fancy. Personally I'd recommend the Wine Merchant's night - this will appeal to the more adventurous of you - and the meet the winemaker experience coming up in March. You'll no doubt remember the Gouguenheim wines from last years case, well you can meet Patrico Gouguenheim in the flesh and let him tell you what's so special about his wines.
March will also play host to the annual Weavers Wine Club Tasting, when you guys get to be wine merchants for the day. Just like in previous years we will have loads of exciting wines open and ready for you to taste at your leisure. Myself, Chris, Mike and Pete will all be on hand to assist, but it is essentially up to you. Don't forget that your feedback will help us decide what to put in future cases.
Thanks for all you support in 2014, here's wishing you a great 2015!
