Before I start on this month's case I would like to say a big thank you to all the positive comments with regards to the wines that we have sent out in the past couple of cases. It is reassuring to receive good feedback about the wines and the service we offer to all our customers.

We are in the process of planning this year's members tasting and we have this scheduled in for Friday 8th of July in our tasting rooms at No17 Castle Gate. We would love to have you along. Please book your place online within the Wine Club members section on our website or simply give us a call.
Chris, Peter and I have had great fun selecting this month's selection and would like to introduce you to some more new wines that we have found. We are featuring wines from a country I have long been a fan of, Austria. Unfortunately these tend to be tagged as 'Wine Merchant Wines', my tongue in cheek label for wines that are high quality but not commercial, meaning we have to drink them ourselves!
By the time that we sort the next case of wine we may have some clear idea of where we stand in Europe, in or out. Will this affect the UK wine market other than currency instability? To be honest, I have no idea. However, in the meantime you can have a pre-vote by trying our Referendum Wines. We are monitoring the sales of this closely and are advising Ken Clarke and David Cameron of how taste buds will affect the vote. More information about this can be found on our website.
Whilst we chat about our illustrious leaders, the start of this year has seen the government talking about alcohol and health. No bad thing, but the message I want to get across to all our customers is to drink less but drink better. This topic forms that basis of this month's article. I would like to know if you agree with my sentiments.
Hopefully I'll see you at one of our events in the near future, enjoy the case!
