Hi and welcome to the Weavers Christmas Wine Club case.
With Christmas upon us, things are really starting to pick up at Weavers and I genuinely can’t believe it has been a year since the last time I put together the Wine Club case for the festive period. There have been quite a few changes implemented over the past year and we’re hopefully now beginning to see the benefits of this.

We’re a family business steeped in tradition which is something we take very seriously. It is also important that we don’t rest on our laurels in this regard, and reviewing the business is an essential part of the way we do things here. You’ll notice that the booklet has a slightly different layout, well this is in line with the new logo and the launch of our new website. I’m sure you will find the new features a benefit and it is this that makes all the hard work really worthwhile. As always, feedback is welcome and encouraged You will find a questionnaire in your envelope this month, please take the time to complete it, it’s important to us to ensure that we get things right (well most things anyway!).
It is not only us that has had a hard year and I regret to report that things are not looking good for the 2012 vintage at vineyards all over Europe. The terrible weather has meant viticulturists have been struggling to produce good fruit and this has lead to smaller yields. In some regions the whole vintage has been written off. We’ll have a better Idea of how bad things are in the coming months, so watch this space for the latest on what is proving to be a very difficult vintage.
This month’s case does have a Christmas theme but I couldn't resist putting a curveball in there - if you can’t work out which one that is, I give up! As always I hope you enjoy the case, and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
