Riesling: Compare and Contrast

Riesling: Compare and Contrast

If I achieve nothing else in my career, I want to show as many people as possible how amazing Riesling is. It is my all time favourite white grape, because of I love the flavours it typically shows, but also because of the aging potential and variety of styles available. Domain Road

Domain Road is owned by Graeme and Gillian Crosbie. The estate is situated in the beautiful and cool growing region of Bannockburn in Central Otago in the south of New Zealand’s South Island. Back in 2002 Graeme and Gillian began to transform the domain from apricot orchards into vineyards. They are aided by Carol Bunn, their winemaker since 2006. The vineyards are mostly planted to Pinot Noir with some Sauvignon Blanc and a little Riesling. Bannockburn was the centre of a gold rush in the second half of the 19th century and the vineyards still contain gold!
