April

April

Welcome to April's Wine Club Selection, with spring gradually winning the battle with winter, we've put together some wines with warmer weather and lighter evenings in mind.

I say 'we', I didn't have an awful lot to do with this particular case if I'm honest. Chris has always been instrumental in helping put together the Wine Club cases and has taken complete charge of the Wine Club for April.

I have to say that the whilst Chris has certainly stamped his own mark on this selection, I wholeheartedly agree with the choices he has made, this is a cracking case. It's always good to hand over to someone else and get a slightly different take on how the selection should be put together, I hope you agree. At this point I bid you farewell and hand over to Chris to talk about the wines. It just remains for me to say that tickets are selling out for our Wine Club Members' tasting, so makes sure you get your tickets soon if you're keen to join us, it's going to be a lot of fun once again!

I have to confess that when I started putting this case together it was the first weekend of nice weather we had experienced in a while, as such, the selection has Spring very much in mind.

The range of Portuguese wines that we have at Weavers has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of years, and I know that the Wine Club has reflected this. I fell in love with the Ciconia wines when we first took them on, and I'm pleased I now have the opportunity to share them with the Wine Club, I think that the styles they represent really suit the time of year.

We have a fantastic selection of German wines in the Wine Club to date and the Louis Guntrum is no exception.

I really hope you enjoy the case, your feedback is always welcome.
