April

Spring is upon us, and with this in mind we have some delicious wines in store for you this month. Look out for the lightly oaked Chardonnay from South Africa, it is a superb find! We've also got the River Grandeur making another appearance, with another wonderful red to enjoy.

We've also been very busy tidying up our cellars at Vintner house and organising tasting evenings, so there is loads to tell you about besides.

Spring Tasting

Firstly, we've decided it's been far too long since our last Grand Tasting so get ready for a unique opportunity to try a cross section of the Weavers range, whilst meeting some of the producers and winemakers that are behind the wines. We'll be hosting the evening at Swancar Country House at Trowel Moor on Wednesday 13th May between 6-9pm. As a valued member of our Wine Club you will benefit from a special discounted price of £10 (normal rrp £15), so I'd love it if I could see some familiar faces in attendance. All you need to do is use the promotional code 1505SWAN at the checkout stage of our website to take advantage of the special price, or you could pick up the phone or call into the shop.

It's Amazing What You Find When Your Clearing Out The Cellar!

Another exciting development is the work we've been doing on our cellars underneath the shop. We've had the dustpan and brush out and, with a lick of paint and a tidy up we've created a wonderful space for tasting and talking about wine. We are going to utilise the space and give customers a unique opportunity to try a range of wines from the Weavers range on Saturday afternoons. Be sure to watch this space and read the Cellar News emails, we'll keep you up-to-date on how things develop. I know that Chris is already in negotiations with one of our New Zealand wine-making friends to arrange a visit to the cellars in the summer, so it's all very exciting.

Hopefully I'll se you at one of our events in the near future, enjoy the case!
