The vineyard benefits from being on the Mendoza River which brings in water from the Andes that is rich in nutrients suited to growing grapes. Combined with the warm climate, the conditions are absolutely perfect for growing good quality wine in large quantities, which explains the accessibility of the range.
The success of this grape variety lies in its versatility. Very few wines have such a rich, full bodied texture whilst being so easy drinking. Malbec tends to be fruit forward with deep dark plum and black cherry notes being subtly supported by hints of smoke and vanilla. This enables it to match with a wide array of foods from big juicy steaks to tangy tomato sauces as well as being a great wine to sip by itself either at a party or sat in front of the telly on a cold winter night.
