At the time of writing I have been basking in some of the hottest days on record and I hope that the wines I have selected will be suitable for August and September regardless of the temperature. This got me thinking, so in this month's article I have decided to make the case for Bordeaux.

Hopefully you enjoyed June's Spanish case. We have received plenty of great comments about the wines, so much so that a few of them will become regular stock lines from now on.
So what have we got for this month? Mary has found a cracking Madiran from our friends at Plaimont in Gascony and I am suggesting you try a really interesting pair of wines from Bordeaux and the Southern Rhône, which Alan enjoyed at a recent tasting. I have to confess that Bordeaux is an area that I often overlook when buying wines for personal consumption. Chris reined me in from selecting all French wines for the summer case so we also have a pair of wines from Chile.
As we look to the autumn we have some dates we would like you to save in the diary, including the 8th October for our Autumn portfolio tasting to be held at the Galleries of Justice.
Thanks again for your ongoing support but please remember, this is your wine club and any comments and feedback you could let me have is always appreciated.
